Characters

Hayate Ayasaki
VA: Ryoko Shiraishi
Hayate is the main protagonist of this story, and s sometimes a heroine as well. His specialty is his misfortune. When he was cast onto the streets after being forced to shoulder his parents' debt, he was rescued by Nagi Sanzenin and became her butler. He uses his skills in housework and consideration as a butler, and despite his disregard for it, finds himself wrapped up in a love comedy at the age of 16.
Nagi Sanzenin
VA: Rie Kugimiya
Nagi is the sole daughter of the Sanzenin Zaibatsu and loves the indoor life. (She's a hikikomori.) She misunderstood Hayate's statement as a confession of love, and employed him as her butler. She's quick to jump to conclusions, hates to lose, and she's strong-willed, but she's always relying on Hayate at the age of 13.
Maria
VA: Rie Tanaka
Maria is a house maid serving the Sanzenin family. She's very capable handling all the housework as well as video games perfectly. Since most of those around her tend to play dumb, she's noted for her sharp retorts. Her dream is to raise the young lady our of her hikikomori ways and into a proper person.
Hinagiku Katsura
VA: Shizuka Itou
She's a talented and beautiful 16 year old girl who excels at both sports and studies while serving as Hakuou Academy's student council president. Her real sister Yukiji is also a teacher of world history at the academy. Her only weakness is that she's not very well adapted to heights. (In other words, she has a fear of heights.) She harbors love towards Hayate, but can't be honest with her feelings.
Ayumu Nishizawa
VA: Mikako Takahashi
Ayumu used to be classmates with Hayate at his old school, and she also has feelings for him. People often call her plain and normal, but she's able to take action when it counts, and she's also confessed her feelings to Hayate before.
Athena Tennosu
VA: Ayako Kawasumi
Athena is a girl living in Lady Nagi's apartment who introduced herself as the Princess Alice. She's lost her memories and reverted to the appearance of a kid, but she's actually a high school student by the name of Athena Tennosu. Hayate used to know her by the nickname “Ah-tan”.
Ruka Suirenji
VA: Haruka Yamazaki
She worked hard to achieve her parents' dream, and now she's a popular idol. She competed with Nagi in the doujinshi world.
