Howl earnings account for 72% of box office revenue
In addition to the numbers we reported yesterday, Variety reports that Howl's Moving Castle accounted for 72% of the total Japanese box office sales this past weekend. Variety however reports slightly different numbers than those we sourced from Yahoo! Japan. According to Variety, Howl earned US$14.3 million and screened on 448 screens.
