502 Volume Manga Encyclopedia to Cost over $5000
The Ishinomori Shoutaro Manga Encyclopedia we reported on back in May will go on sale starting in February 2006 with the final volume coming out in November 2008.
The entire encyclopedia will span 502 volumes of manga from Shōtarō Ishinomori's career and will be released in 12 sets, 1 set every three months, starting on February 22, 2005.
Each set will contain 41-42 volumes of manga and will retail for 51,450 yen (~US$450) after tax. The entire collection will cost 617,000 yen (~US$5500)
The Encyclopedia will only be available from the Ishinomori Shoutarou website, pre-ordering is available from September 26 to December 20th.
