Ah, NDK.... I was wondering who would be the first to post about NDK.
Just a little under two months away and I, for one, cannot wait. I must say that I am really happy about the move from the Holiday Inn to the DTC Marriott. The Marriott has always been very patient and nice to convention attendees whereas the service at the Holiday Inn over the last two years has been lacking.
The one thing that I am worried about is the size of the dealer's room at the Marriott.

It will be about the same size if they use the Evergreen room.

NDK 2005. Just over one month away and I am stoked and ready for some panel watching, karaoke singin', game playin' and (let's not forget) some dealer's room visiting.
While I have the room already booked and I pre-registered at NDK 2004, I still haven't received my confirmation for pre-reg. I'm a little concerned by that but, it should all be OK. Let's just hope that they do a better job with the pre-reg lines this year. Last year's line was a joke compared to years past but, I guess that it is a good thing that there were that many people who had pre-payed for the con.
T minus 35 days and counting......

Yep, been going since 2000. Just like years past, I'm expecting to be there this year as well. It would be nice to have a meetup.

Hmm... I think for the first time in five years, I *won't* be going to NDK. But have fun, and take pictures of the gathering! I want to match up names and faces!

So who wants to organize the meetup? When and where do we meet? As long as it's not during the AMV competition, I see no problems being there.

Mmmmm. Grubbin' at the Marriott to get things started. Count me in!!
It's too bad that you won't be able to make it this year, Sakechan. This year looks like it could be LOTS of fun. Not that it hasn't been fun in previous years.....

^^;; What makes this year any different? They don't have any cool guests this year, and still no industry presence...

Maybe I'm more excited because of the change of venue. I was really getting tired of the Holiday Inn and I like the set up of the Marriott much better. It feels as though the con has grown up some.
Sure, I would like more of an industry presence but you take your joy where you can find it.

The change is to try and bring the indistory pressence once more to Nan Desu Kan. That is what Steve told us at a DAI meeting a few months back.

OK. I'm game. Pre-reg starts at 2pm and the dealer's room opens at 2:30. If all goes well, I'm planning on hitting the dealer's room at around 2:31 so...what do you all think? 3:30-4ish maybe at the Marriott's restaurant? This may or may not work. Let me know.
