NEWS: Funimation Adds Nichijou, Scrapped Princess, The Betrayal Knows My Name Anime

A bit of a note but the Xenosaga anime was ADV's dub, they also dubbed Devil May Cry as well where in that case, they only brought back Dante's VA (from Devil May Cry 3 & 4) but under an alias.

I actually got a chance to ask Richard Epcar about the Xenosaga dub. He's apparently good friends with Chris Ayres (the ADR Director), and Chris apparently didn't know that there WAS a pre-existing cast, or he would have tried to get them back.

Mitsudomoe is an Aniplex of Japan license, so the chances of it being picked up by anyone other than AoA is nigh improbable. Since AoA never bothered licensing it, I'd say it'll probably never happen as an NA license.

The first season of milky holmes was licensed and streamed on Crunchyroll at one point, but the licensed seemed to have lapsed. I remember watching the first two series and it being pretty meh.

If you mean the titles that CR itself had already announced prior to the partnership, all of those were announced as having a dub.

If you are referring to any future titles, that remains to be seen. I would expect Funimation to concentrate on CR titles they consider "dub worthy".

I mean the scores of other CR titles that do not have confirmed dubs, and Omamori Himari's release indicates that they are not above just throwing out a cheapo sub only release for some of them instead of dubbing everything.

You seem to be implying that Omamori Himari came via CR rather than directly from Kadokawa. The former is unlikely, given that it was announced as licensed by Funimation in over 3 weeks prior to the announcement of the partnership:

Can anyone tell me what that history of Omamori Himari is with FUNimation? According to my friend they may have simulcast it back when it first aired but then like I remembered the series existed like a few weeks ago and then coincidentally a physical release was suddenly set to release this month. Frankly I'm surprised FUNi isn't dubbing it, it's a very FUNi fanservicey show from what I remember.

Can anyone tell me what the history of Omamori Himari is with FUNimation? According to my friend they may have simulcast it back when it first aired

... (although I should mention that for reasons unknown I keep mixing Omamori Himari up with Otome Youkai Zakuro)
