You're right about the "could be dangerous" part, but he wasn't a total stranger. He already had some sort of romantic relationship going with this girl for a while, and he was said to be formerly a close friend of the entire family.

abduction does not have that high a percentage of deaths because the great majority of abductions are by family members usually in custody battles.

stranger abductions have a higher case of homicides but this may not even fit into an abduction since both parties knew each other there's the real possibility its both the guy and girl are simply hiding together.

And Family Abductions and Non Family Abductions were about equal in 2007. 106 and 94 respectively according to Amber 2007 report.

In 2007, 278 children were involved in 227 AMBER Alert cases. Fifty-four percent (54%, n=150) of children were intaked as FAs, followed by 35% (n=97) of children intaked as NFAs. Ten percent (10%, n=28) were intaked as LIMs, and 1% (n=3) were intaked as ERUs.

If they are then they aren't here yet, or else I would have seen the amber alert by now. Honestly speaking, they could be headed anywhere, with destination unknown and the reason for heading where they are headed, unknown.
