My thoughts exactly. :D |
Same here. I give Japan credit though, I don't think any other place in the world comes up with as many creative as them. I'll give credit where it's due, but I can't really imagine this product being brought over seas. Nor would I ever want to wear one or be around a friend who might be wearing one.

These are so stupid and such a pointless waste of technology.
Yes somehow I really really want a pair.

Very cool. All I need now is a price tag and when they'll be available. I'll even sell a kidney on ebay if I have to......

I did, but I somewhat figured it would a given. I honestly don't think this technology is functional in any way and just looks like a giant waste of money.
I will say this, they really do look ugly and look like something out of a abstract art magazine. A very odd, off beat magazine at that.

It is a protoype, so one would think that the production version would be a little more refined. It's a pretty cool technology though, even if it is currently a little rough around the edges.

One step closer to remote control and Angelic Layer? Hm, in the anime, the game did result in useful applications outside the game...

Patience, in less than a decade you will see girls with designer cat ears (since no real cat has ears protruding from the top of their head), cat eyes (w/night vision), cat tails (totally useless unless they are of the prehensile kind). Long before that you will have on-demand breast size, eye and hair color (so you will see real girls with red eyes with green hair) and probably real fangs. Oh, the future looks so bright

I think Robin would be able to do a pretty good tongue-in-cheek of just that in Anime News Nina.

I would buy these, and wear them every day. EVERY DAY.
Now we just need moving tails to match.
