I'm guessing the Ventura/Image video bail-out forced TP to rely on FUNi for future releases. It's probably for the best, since they seem to have some of the better market penetration ATM.

This sucks. I just bought the first GTO box on eBay for $120 Anime cry and now this announcment comes up. Should I buy the 2nd Tokyopop box or wait for the new releases now Mad?

Not that I have that much of a problem with TP's release, though the subs could be better here and there. Oh, and a re-dub would be great. As much as I like Blum overall, he and the other 20 miscasted, recycled VAs doing every other character's voice with the addition of Americanizing the comedy into raunchy potty humor didn't do much for me.
