I was referring to what you called the faux-sexuel. I don't remember any spoiler[magical girls] in episodes 13-26, so I thought that would have been fairly obvious...

Anyone know the name of the piano piece that Yin plays in the 'A Heart Unswaying on the Water's Surface...' episodes? I love it!

Yin no Piano, composed by Yoko Kanno.

I actually was just watching that episode earlier today and was thinking that it reminded me of another song, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

On another note, I'm rather amused by the fact that right now I'm alternating between rewatching DTB and walking outside to watch the Geminid meteor shower, entirely by coincidence. I keep telling myself that every meteor is a dead Contractor Laughing

Gah... listening to that again made a tear come to my eye, especially when you think about all the things that happened to poor Yin. I never saw any of the 2nd season/OVAs, but the original series was very good, IMO.

Definitely one of the more sad arcs of the show, and Kanno did a great job with making the song match the mood.

The second season wasn't bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to the first IMO. Yin has a rather prominent role towards the end of the second season as well. I'm actually about to watch the OVAs soon (which cover Hei and Yin after the events of the first season), so I'm re-watching the first season so that the events leading up to the OVAs are fresh in my mind.

Have to agree that the first season was a lot better. I didn't like the 2nd season the first time I watched it but then I watched it again after watching the first season and found it much better.

I really like the OVA's of the second season. Although they are like Yin's arc in the first season and depending on how you look at it, rather sad.[/spoiler]

Same here! I just recently did this myself. I loved the 1st season and hated the 2nd. Then about 2 weeks ago I watched all of the series back to back. I still have some issues with the 2nd season but I enjoy it more then I originally did. Still the ending in the 2nd season seemed a bit rushed.
