I only have Air & the movie on dvd, is it that bad? Did you already import it? I think they did a great job with Kanon - the scenes with Mai at the school especially - just awesome. The sparkle of snow, the flowing of the water and the wheat in the field - that stuff is simply some amazing eye candy there. The scenes at night and sunset are also ones I've viewed several times just to admire how they did it. Was it hundreds of dollars worth of improvement? of course not, that's just Japan and as Blood- once posted "they got me by the short and curly's" when it comes to jonesin' their blu releases. |

Today must be Blind Buy day for me. And to think my original policy was to never buy a show I hadn't first sampled. Well, that's gone out the window
Made a trip to Half Price Books and was delighted to find a new copy of Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise for $10. I've never seen it, but the good things I've heard prompted me to snag it. Also got some things from RightStuf's __ sale. The problem with that sale is that I want all of it. It was seriously difficult to restrain myself. I grabbed Penny Pinchers from a recommendation from Poonk (thanks again!), and The Rose of Versailles Part 1 and 2 from many good things said on this forum. |

Whaa $350!? Get it from Amazon JP. I received mine for $230. Same exact specs as the one on RightStuf.
I do not own the Air set so I cannot comment on the quality but I do know that it was one of the first, if not THE first, anime to be released on the format. |

sure wish I could just visit a Comic Store on a daily/weekly basis. It's gotta be nice to just be able to browse, shoot the breeze with a clerk, impulse buy... ahhh, the things people get to do in normal places....
@chichiriNoDa I'm curious, how much did you end up paying for Banana Fish 19? I recently ordered & paid 98.00 for a "used like new" one. ouch. @luffypirate85 you must've pre-ordered your Oriemo blu right? the price has gone up since - it's about $263 right now. Interesting about Air, I don't know anything about the Adult PC games. Seems that franchise has been around for awhile, well over a decade now? I would have guessed the first blu would've been something like "Royal Space Force". **** recently ordered a few of the older Comics Journal volumes that have interviews with artists like Keiiji Nakazawa (Barefoot Gen) #256, and Moto Hagio (The Heart of Thomas, A,A')#269. and along with some much welcome spring like weather, Gundam Unicorn 6 blu & Hyakko dvds (with bookmarkers) showed up. |

Oh ouch! $98 that's too much! I got mine at my local used comic shop for $6.00. Besides its tiny scuffing on the spine it's in pristine condition. |

double ouch. I really need to move. To a real town. One that likes comics and animated stuff. Well that and be more patient with my ordering. "OOP" and "reseller" Without a doubt, two of my most favorite words #$%!@! **** AmiAmi shipped my pre-order for Arale-chan (from Akira Toriyama's "Dr. Slump"). I sure would like to buy the animated version. It's yet another manga series with a couple of OOP volumes or at the least they're no longer listed at TRSI. one of the funniest "inventions" in manga |
