She's still a crappy, one-dimensional, frustrating, misogynistic moe-blob. :/ There's nothing to deny otherwise. My opinion of her is never going to change. And what Chitoge did was different; it was to make two people she cared about happy. It wasn't because she was too afraid to confess. It was also to show that she grew more considerate because in the past, she could be a bit selfish. spoiler[Deciding to step aside for Raku and Onodera to be happy WAS a selfless thing to do.] My problem with Onodera is that she's written like a male fantasy first and a person....well, never. It's very easy for female fans to get disgusted with female characters like this. People complain about Asuna being "too waifu-like" but Asuna has much more of a personality and depth to her than just "OMG, BOY I LIKE!!" *blush and run away* =_= Being shy isn't an uncommon trait, sure but there is NO REASON for Onodera to act the way she does....besides her Shrinking Violet stereotype. She has a perfectly normal family life, perfectly normal past, the whole cast LOVES her (besides Marika maybe)....why the f**k is she such a coward and a doormat?

Yeah, it's different because you like her  spoiler[The manga was pretty upfront portraying Chitoge's actions as selfish and cowardly. She ran because she couldn't handle the heartbreak, nothing more. Even Kosaki confesses to Raku in the end despite knowing his answer.]

How the hell was that "selfish"? It seemed more to me like she ran because she was overwhelmed and needed time to process it all. PUH-LEEZE, Onodera spends 99% of the manga RUNNING AWAY and you're going to criticize CHITOGE for doing it ONCE? 
She *is* a better character (writing-wise) because she has dimension to her. Of course this applies to the entire cast, singling out Onodera Kosaki. They all had their own identies. Their writing didn't revolve around "liking Raku" but hers did and that's why I dislike her the most. Haru was infuriating to watch and I despised her....but even she had more development than her sister. |

Because spoiler[her motive wasn't "I want two people I care for to be happy together so I'll get out of the way" it was "it hurts to see them together so I'll avoid them completely to spare my own feelings."]
In what way? Because she didn't confess to Raku sooner? By that definition Marika is the only character who didn't spend the majority of the manga running away. I'll never forget that Christmas chapter where spoiler[Raku and Kosaki are willing to let their pendants get thrown away in order to spend Christmas eve together. They were willing to let the past go to make something new in the present.] Whereas by the end of the manga, Chitoge spoiler[was so fixated on the past, hoping she'd be the promised girl so that she might have a chance to be with Raku.] That's what I'd call running away (in a mental sense). I was actually happy with how it all turned out and it's not like I dislike Chitoge or anything (in fact she's one of the better examples of her character type). But Chitoge is guilty of many of the same things you accuse Kosaki of, and that's okay. You can be more willing to forgive one person over another simply because you like them more. But you shouldn't act like her shit don't stink. |

Everyone in Gundam SEED. To this date, they are the only incarnation of humanity in anime who gets me to be like Shinobu Sensui and want to see the incarnation of him into this series succeed, spoiler[Demon World portal and all. I don't @#%#IN' CARE how beautiful everyone is in this series. Genocide of cruel and unusual means, and being more hair trigger for interspecies war than X-Men doesn't make them beautiful as a people.]

I don't. Chitoge has faults too. She does things I don't like throughout the series. But she *is* a better written character than Onodera. I said the entire cast are better characters than Onodera |

Since Chikane just had to be mentioned here, I guess I'll have to bring out my most hated anime characters ever. Characters I feel deserve my ever lasting contempt.
Haruka Nishida (Kanamemo) F*** her! Just...f*** this woman! F*** in the a**! Yes, I hope she dies and yes, I do hope she goes to Hell! spoiler[Lesbian kiddy fiddlers are not okay in my book]. Especially those who get away with it more often than once. Haruka and other women like her are absolute scum! She is probably my most hated anime character, but I'm not done here. Kyoko Toshino (Yuru Yuri) She sucks and is annoying, overrated, and she just...Christ, can't stand people like her. Naru Narugesawa (Love Hina) There is no better example of those "tsundere" girlfriends who are nothing but shit to their boyfriends quite like this one. This POS is an example on how not to write a good female lead. She is incredibly and unnecessarily abusive and she almost never gets any punishment to herself as a result. I don't know why these kinds of characters appear in alot of anime. They are not likable at all and Naru is the best example of that. Nanoha Takamachi (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) If this girl is supposed to be a lesbian like so many people say, boy she sure did a good job fooling everybody. A yuri charlatan if I ever saw one. Also very overrated. Honorable mentions are: Shizuma Hanazono (Strawberry Panic) Kuroko Shirai (A Certain Scientific Railgun) Mio Kusakai (Keijo) Kaname Chidori (Full Metal Panic) Katsuragi (Senren Kagura) Louise (The Familiar of Zero) Hotaru Ichijo (Non Non Biyori) Sanae Nagatsuki (Squid Girl) Kūko (Nyaruko: Crawling with Love) Hilda (Cross Ange) Nozomi Tojo (Love Live) Riko Saikawa (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) Most of the characters from K-On, Yuyushiki, New Game, and Kin-iro Mosaic. that list makes it look an awful like your general problem is just with women. Especially strong-willed ones. Not to say to say those listed don't have their irritating attributes (they're mostly designed that way) but damn... some ladies are going to talk back at you, and that's a good thing. |

I think their issue is more with yuri bait characters (or yuri charlatan as they put it) as well as crazy perverted lesbian types.

It takes a lot for me to sincerely hate a character, because after a certain point of a villain being an irredeemable waste of life, they stop seeming real and I start to lose interest. I can't even think of Sugou as a villain because he's so one-dimensional and boring that I can't associate him with a person. Heck, after he molests Asuna for half a season, none of his villainous exploits seem to have long lasting effects, psychological or otherwise, on the heroes. At least Shou Tucker was the big moment where you felt the characters would never look at life the same way again. Sugou was needlessly evil and deplorable without the humanity to relate to.
So there's the honorable mention. Or rather, there's my explanation for why the character you'd all expect to be on here isn't on here. Onto my list of hated characters in no particular order~! Most characters in edge-porn shows (Elfen Lied, Akame Ga Kill!, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Future Diary, King's Game, Big Order, and Violence Jack) - Special mention goes to Yukiteru and Yuno for being the most disgusting characters I'd experienced in anime before adulthood. The World Nobles from One Piece - Overprivileged bastards who kill the innocent for not BOWING WHEN THEY WALK BY is already terrible, but the fact that fighting back will get you on the most wanted list is just frustrating. Sakura from Naruto - To those who say "She become useful in Shippuden," I can only ask you if you actually watched past the first arc of Shippuden. She's still trash. Genthru from Hunter x Hunter - In a show full of anime/manga's most interesting, human villains, this dude is just a cackling jerk who kills people for fun. It's disappointing and he isn't even the highlight of his arc. Leafa from SAO - Incest aside, what a worthless character. Rossiu from Gurren Lagann - Honestly, putting Simon to death felt extreme and stupid when a life sentence would have done just fine. Everyone in, and who was involved in creating, Fushigi Yuugi - This anime is the equivalent of drinking an Ebola patient's blood, piss, and vomit. Special mention goes to the turd frosting on this chocolate poo cake, Miaka. Usagi from Sailor Moon - I know my reasons for disliking her are purely anime-exclusive (apparently), but slapping Mamoru for forgetting an event she never informed him of was painful to watch. Kirino from Oreimo - Annoying and got to get with Protagonist-kun when Kuroneko deserved the holy honor. Pique and Lillie from Princess Tutu - I know some people think it's all Lillie's fault and Pique isn't annoying because she got one episode to be brainwashed by Mytho, but really, they blend together so who cares? They're wastes and could be written out to make for a better show. Kayneth and Sola-Ul from Fate/Zero - Not because of poor writing. They're well-written horrible people. Great job team. Brondrewd from Made in Abyss - Easily the most despicable human being I've seen in anime all year. I won't say why because certain people living unfulfilled lives by not watching the anime. |

That's amusing, how do you watch all of Nanoha and then come way with the idea that Nanoha is a "yuri charlatan"?
I'd also hazard a guess that mentioning Shine Maidens in any negative manner is a big berserk button and that's what set Heishi off |

Because I know. Nothing convinced me that Nanoha was lesbian. Nothing. Hey, it can happen to anyone. Not just Shrine Maidens, but Titans, Dragonalls, Samurais, and even people named Casshern. |
