NEWS: New DVD Company to Release 8 of the Earliest Anime

That's very great news. I always like to watch older shows and movies, and to have the chance to see some of the earliest versions of anime is something that I've always anticipated. The price seems pretty good and the addition of commentaries and other extras are a big plus, too.

It should be quite interesting to see how the Japanese did their propaganda cartoons. I think it would be good also see someone put out a special set of war propaganda cartoons from different with accompanying documentaries and analysis, considering the view of cartoons in general and the use of them as tools of manipulation is a very intriguing subject matter.
