There is a lot of misinformation over the Eden of the East phone on the Internet among English-speakers. NEC is not actually releasing the Eden of the East phone. NEC created a concept model mockup of what a mobile terminal might look like in the 2010-2012 timeframe for Production I.G's anime. Unlike the Evangelion phone, NEC hasn't announced that it'll release an actual phone.
