From what I've noticed most boxes are $200 for 26 episodes to begin with. Just wait awhile until they reduce the price, they will eventually.

[quote="bleuster"]Champloo phased me out during the middle of the series, so no loss here.

I'm with you, it's not worth $200 bucks. Some of the episodes were excellent (reluctant prostitute, eps with Sara and maybe a couple of others) but the series lost it's way in the middle. I didn't like the ending either.

Except for that Cowboy Bebop boxset, here's hoping the Samurai Champloo set isn't limited to 10,000 or so copies.

Why? When you can get it from DDD for 133?. Wink Plus with the 20% off special they usually run in June, expect to pay around 100. But amazon's price isn't bad. Very Happy

Hey you right, if there's a place selling it at an even lower price (free shipping) I'll get it there. Learned that demand is higher at lower prices in Econ101 and now I am seeing how it works hehe.

Y'know, all you people have to do is wait until Right Stuf has one of their 40% off Geneon sales (they have, what, like two a year?) and all of a sudden your $200 box set is only $120....join their membership club and it's even cheaper.

I mean, really, whether you're buying used or buying it on sale, it's not that hard to get around paying less than MSRP for an anime boxset. I don't think I've *ever* paid full suggested retail on one.

I've actually only payed MSRP on 1 DVD, out of my 200+ anime DVD collection, and that was Samurai X Trust & Betrayal Director's Cut. I had been looking for that DVD in a long time and Suncoast was the only one that had it in stock so I got it there.
