Thats the same damn thing.
Stop making your opinions sound like a fact, they are making entertainment, and people buy it because they are fans of it. Its nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, it's every other anime. |
A few months ago, I actually looked up how many of these anime we get, the number is far lower than you seem to think.

LOL
This ignorance is as shallow as the sheep that believe you. People buy what they want to buy and stop acting as if it's immoral to buy what they please.

No, just entertainment for geeks with no taste.

You mean your own definition is what it actually is?

No, they are opinions.
You're just frustrated that very few people have the same shitty taste you have, so the industry does not cater to your tastes. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't even import anime BD/DVD's.

I've been reading kanemitsu's blog about this ero loli/shota censorship. It sounds like the LDP are going to make this happen. Then there's TPP and however it's supposed to affect doujinshi.

I'm surprised Japan got nominated for the Olympics 2020, considering, how irrelevant the nation has become(economically, and politically) to the rest of the world. In fact, the only strongholds Japan has left are electronics, and automobiles at the global level. The rest of its domestic industries are in a rapid decline or have become irrelevant to the rest of the American/Chinese world.

It's still one of the largest (third) economies on the planet, and it's a stable environment, whereas Spain had riots over austerity economics, and Turkey is still having riots. I don't think they're anywhere near irrelevant or potentially dangerous as other options.

The main thing that's going to concern me, more than the issue that's gotten out of control with the others on this discussion, is about where it will take place by then.
Comiket has been iconic at it's current location, and for it to be moved to another area, especially to have as much people over at the event, is not going to be an easy task.
In a way, it makes the trip to Japan for a lot of people who want to experience Comiket much more dire if one wants to get the experience of where it's been for so long.

@walw6pK4Alo
I suppose but considering my disdain for the current conservative party that has ruled Japan for more than half a century(LDP), I'd prefer to have any other nation except Japan get the Olympics.
But since, they already have gotten it, there's no use in complaining. If the Japanese can't stand up to authority because of their "traditions" of being subservient to their higher-ups, they will never experience economic and political growth as a nation. The Japanese populace needs to start questioning authority more often.
@firedragon54738
If Japanese otaku cannot defend their own hobbies and still look down at their own interests, whose going to defend them? The Mangaka and creative authors don't have all the time in the world to be holding their hands and rallying them. And certainly, voicing their disdain towards the conservative LDP via 2ch/Twitter isn't going to give them any ground. What will they do?
We can't defend them. They can only defend themselves.
The U.S. CBLDF(The Comic Book Defense Fund) warned them about what would happen to the pop-culture they love if they don't stand up. They will decide the fate of the industry, whether to leave it at the hands of a bunch of regressive politicians or in their own.

Since we're on a roll with conspiracy theories with the akiba mafia and what not. What if their bid for the 2020 Olympics was actually just a ploy to push the anti loli/shota and quite possibly soon to be anti otaku agenda and actually get it passed?
