Wow FUNi... had I known that they would've released a _full series_ collector's edition set for Seraph (on the same day that they're releasing part 2?), I wouldn't have bothered getting the collector's edition for just part 1 that came out in May. Seriously, who makes these decisions. They should have a trade-in offer Anime hyper

While I'm happy we're getting an Ergo Proxy blu-ray, I'm on the fence about buying it. I'm pretty happy with the quality of the Anime Classics release and unless this new BD set has some cool extras, I'll probably save my money for something else. Or at least wait until it's cheaper or on sale.

Yeah, I was ticked when I found out that they were dong a full collector's edition, and of course, I'd already bought the LE version of part 1. But I guess that this means that they lose out on money from me, because I don't care enough to pay for the first half of the show twice, and there's no way that I'll be able to sell my copy of the first half for enough to make my money back.

I usually buy the LE stuff that Funimation puts out, and I pre-order it to make sure that I get it (since sometimes it does sell out fairly quickly), but I expect that what they've just done is going to make many of us think twice about immediately jumping on the LE release of a show.

A trade-in offer would definitely help fix this mess IMHO, though I expect that they'd lose too much money on that to make it worth it, since it's not like they can turn around and resell what gets traded in, and the whole point of the collector's edition is to get even more out of you for the same show.

The gorgeous Japanese Blu-ray release of the TV series and both versions of Endless Waltz that is sitting among the rest of my imports says, "what the heck are you talking about?"

Ah, I stand corrected. It's no longer available for sale, which explains why when I last checked upcoming and recent releases of Gundam BDs it wasn't listed.

Though, that might mean we'll have to wait for it to get re-released there first, since I imagine that's why it hasn't already been announced.

Finally Ergo Proxy on blu-ray here!

I'm satisfied with my old Ergo Proxy thinpak, but I wouldn't mind moving up to Blu-ray if they do a little more than a bare bones release. At least give me something to get me interested. If I remember correctly the JPN version came with a nice box and art booklet.

The show looks fantastic on the import blu-ray.

I do agree it deserves more than a bare bones case.

Same. I really don't get why they did this. I always buy their LE or CE's but I too already bought the LE for the first half...

I'd seriously double dip if they release a nice boxset for Ergo Proxy. It remains in my top 3 anime.

Just when I buy the first set of Seraph of the End Anime hyper.

The US always get better collectors editions than the Australian release :/

Agent355, what is it about some series that make it seem like it's "Shounen-ai Jump"? My OTPs are the boy/girl (not incest or step-siblings) type.
