More soon than later, some of them will have an anime adaptation and we know it.
"I am getting paid for each character written, so I am starting this LN with the longest title I can think".
Also, Is there so much interest in guys sent to fictional fantasy worlds or are publishers beating a dead horse with maces?

Doubtless some of these have or may have English-language fan translations, but any of them that are owner-approved is even better. The black gal is possibly the most controversial/racist-sounding title.

lol, wtf. |
It's actually fairly decent. In short and not to spoil too much, a vending machine otaku dies trying to save a vending machine from Truck-sama's ever loving embrace and then gets sent into another world as a vending machine that has to sell items to remain alive, as it were. |
Ah, excellent!
This is what I love about the forums - every once in a while you get to find out something really nice.

"On Virtual Reality Front Lines My Precious Firearm Loot Malfunctioned So I Quickly Ran To The Suspicious Nearby Merchant Only To Come Back And Find My Squad Turned Into Pigeons And A Dragon Massaging My Testicles. Oh And Before I Realized That The Log Out Button Didn't Work, The Merchant Turned Me Into Liquid For Sale. So Through His Conversations I Found Out That I'm In The Elycrovanicani Galaxy Light Years Away From Home Where Grey Beings Took My Eyes Out And Sent Me Back To Earth With More Than A Tracking Device. And Well... Now I'm Clueless But Moving On Command"
I tried..
I really like that they're writing titles like that. I hate when something seems like a rule. A way of writing or whatever. Just do your thing. So I want every kind of stuff to exist.

It's counted by the original Japanese characters, which take up less "space." This title is 54 characters with punctuation.

If your light novel title can fit in a single tweet without at least three abbreviations you're doing it wrong.

I try my best.
Though in all honesty, I think it'd be interesting to read a coming of age story about a kid living in a world that neither he nor his parent are really equipped to handle and how to navigate that fine line between learning to be independent and learning when and how to ask for help.

Man, these titles. I had a good laugh from this list.

Obviously, this guy is a realist.

Why not both?

To Americans maybe, but the title is referring to ganguro.

Having read a decent chunk of Vending Machine via machine translation and a fan translation, I'll second the take on Vending Machine; it's not bad. Relative to many web novels I'm tempted to say it might even be kinda good, but I haven't really far enough to make that call yet.
While the long titles are kind of ridiculous and artistically impoverished, I feel they are functionally helpful. "Ender's Game" or "Gone With The Wind" don't tell me much about what to expect.

This should 100% be translated as "Comrade," especially since the kanji are 同志 instead of 同士. Both are pronounced doushi, but the former has more of the implication of "Comrade" to a revolutionary socialist/Communist. |
You're right. The translation has been corrected.

This. I really agree with this.
Considering how most of them end up being submitted for light novel contests, I guess these kind of titles actually contribute to its success.
