Heh.
The moment Megan catches Kevin's collection of anime girls, she'll feel she can't compete, begin to compare herself to the "perfection" of the molded statues, and end up busting the poor guy's heart when she walks out the door. 
Oh, wait. Kevin asked Megan for a date while shopping for figures and she said "yes". With that, the above must be false. Kevin's gonna score.

No, that's too wrong. Nice to see Kevin run into a girl fan at the other end of the spectrum of fandom, one who appears at least sane enough not to be beating people with paddles. Will she turn out to be a new addition to the regular cast with a romantic plot or will this whole thing fizzle? (I'm rooting for Kevin but I don't see luck in his future.) |

Personally, I like the new direction. It just opens up so much possibility with this opportunity, while both Paola and Nina are still their usual selves... ... or could they.

I'm surprised they haven't come out with squid & octopus Rei & Asuka yet.
Just a couple weeks ago, I was in the big game center near here, about to drop a 500 yen coin into the UFO catcher for three chances to get one of the Mermaid Rei & Asuka figures... ...when I catch myself, and mentally shout "WHAT THE #&$% ARE YOU DOING?!... ...THERE'LL BE 20 OF THEM AT THE SECONDHAND SHOP FOR 1000 YEN APIECE BEFORE NEXT WEEK..." (and I was right. And I still didn't get one.) |

While next week's comic can go in many different directions, I'm sincerely hoping that something positive actually develops between the two. I'm not tired of the whole "Kevin can't get a girl" story yet, but you can only drag it on and make him suffer for so long.

You know, I'd probably get those figurines...
For our poor little hero, though, this probably wouldn't be a bad way to bring in a new major character... so I kind of hope the lady sticks around. ^^ |

I really hope this works out for Kevin, I was hoping this would happen. Fantastic comic this week Robin, the backgrounds were super awesome.
