Ah, I'm sad that the anime and this thread have run their course.
 Now where am I supposed to lurk?
I've also already finished the 5th Arc, so I'm all out of Umineko for the next four or so months. It's such a shame that the anime couldn't have pulled off a 37 episode season and a half. The next arc ends at what would've been the perfect season cut-off point, imo... I guess we can just be satisfied with this. (Not a spoiler. But OH, if it was...) |

I already tried to read episode 6. (people have a pretty bad translation program that can read the text set up for it)
Seeing as I'm lazy I ended up watching a live stream for like half the game (episode 6). Lets just say the anime would get episode 6 perfect spoiler[Battler turns in to anime Battler really] Also when does the V-day/White Day Tips Drama CD come out? It's the one thing left I want to hear. |

Indeed, one of my new favorite characters. I wanna see her animated.
I've already gone back into "dodge the spoilers!" mode for Episode 6. It's going to be a long 4 or so months. |

Soundtrack or 6 is awesome... B.o.n.w is my fav ending in the entire series... and zts got back into form with Liberaterdliberter. standalone.. this is the best score yet imo. I didn't like the score for 5 standalone.. loved it while reading through 5 though.. |

I just finished this - finally - and I was disappointed by the ending. At least I had a heads up from several people that they didn't like it, so I wasn't completely surprised. This is a show that is begging for another season, one that has better pacing and knows how to have a season finale that doesn't make the audience go "What The F". I got so few answers and so many more questions that instead of being intrigued I just feel tired from having to juggle all of them in the air.
At any rate, it sounds like the Visual Novels are great, so I'll see if I can track them down. If you want to know what I've rated it as (and why), just look at MyAnime. |

This is why a lot of people like the fan made ending more.
Oh well, the anime's not getting a season 2, I heard most of the DVDs are barely making 200 copy's a release. In less they had some deal to animate all of Umineko it's not happening. |

Two hundred copies? That's mind-bogglingly low. Fans of the Visual Novels must really hate this if they aren't buying. So yeah, it pretty much rules out a second season. And that's sad, because for all the myriad of faults the show still entertained, especially in the middle.

It's to the point where most fans say the anime doesn't exist.
I thought the anime was perfectly fine up in till they got to the episode 4 stuff. Then it went down hill, no amount of small bombs and dragon Kinzo can fix that. They cut, a bunch of red text in both the final showdown and the tea party which comes in to play later. Still I would love to see them try and do a season 2. Erika and Dlanor would be interesting in anime form. At least they would get their characters right, I mean you really can't mess up with them. It's really just a oh well, maybe if something went a little better or [/insert scene here] was cut or shorted so [/insert scene here] could have had more time to get the plot point across. Still there's always hope I guess, maybe the drama CD coming out soon will sell well? |
