So you're saying there'll be a new season once the manga ends? Yay I'm gonna go tell everyone I know... I wonder if this is how those idiots get these rumors started. People taking these suggestions of when the second season will be created.

Once again, I do not buy in to this rumour one bit, and once again, I just wanted to throw it around for discussion.
As far as Kentarou Miura allowing more to be done, that's just what I read. Not something I ever originally said.
I really don't expect to see any more Berserk in anime form, as unfortunate as that is, but anything is possible.

Basically what you're doing is spreading rumor and speculation and that will lead to other people spreading the same rumor and speculation after they read this post. You're not any better than the "dork" you mention in your post. And eventually everyone is going to start believing there's going to be a second season.
Perhaps you should post when you get more reliable source...like maybe his actual comment. I don't believe you read on the internet, especially when it's so random.

Just to make you mad.

Mad? Don't worry I'm not mad, i'm just being direct (I guess some people feel offended by this). But either way, I don't think many people here like a gossiper.

That's really nice. I'm happy for you.
It really doesn't matter. In the end it's still just a cartoon, not a way of life. Funny that you think "some people are offended". Seriosuly, dude, who cares? I don't get how discussing a rumour on an anime forum is all of the sudden going to cause some massive frenzy with people thinking there's going to be more Berserk anime. Actually, I wish it would, because I love it when stuff like that happens.

Grand aimless speculation is fun though..... Why get grumpy over it?
My understanding is that Miura didn't want/wasn't allowing any more of the anime to made until the manga was finished-- so I do think there was the concept that _eventually_ there could be more anime made. However, the concept that more could be made at the end of the Kushand War "arc" sounds interesting to ponder, at the least, as I could imagine it working out-- say, by then... Griffith attains the throne, Casca is brought back, etc. I could see that sort of (very speculative) intermediate stopping point as a valid point for a new anime to end.
As for if I've heard that anywhere else-- no. Still, it's nice to hope, and that _would_ be a good place to cut the story off again.

Even though I don't ever expect more Berserk anime, here's a little quote I'll post in hopes of making a bunch of people think there will be more:
"The manga Berserk still continues so as a producer, I would like to continue to animate the story beyond the Great Eclipse. If and when this happens I hope that you will continue to watch and that we will continue to hear from you. Thank you very much."
-Toshio Nakatani, Berserk's TV producer.
And now my plot to piss off fanboys by getting their hopes up for more Berserk is in motion.

Hey, calm down Hitler... I think us anime fans already have hope for the continuation of Berserk, but we are well aware that there won't be one anytime soon, so by now we all know not to listen to any rumors brought up about this series until an official announcement is made.

Well, rumor spread as long as there are people that believe them without any solid evidence. Most berserk fan already come to expect there isn't going to be a season 2...well not yet anyways. Still we get tons of these topic from new member every so month.
Eh, I wouldn't be surprise if we get a the same topic later on because the person who made it heard rumor from another anime forum.

: D I'm a huge Berserk fan myself. As I've stated multiple times, I just wanted to toss this out here to see what everyone else thought. Not to start another thread asking if the rumour was true, because I don't believe it is.
Now why don't we calm down. : ) It's an anime forum, for discussing anime, that's it. Where would we be without anime gossip? Rumours can often be true, and often are not. Either was it's still interesting to talk about.

Oh. I was hoping for a reliable source on that bit of information. When thinking about Berserk, it bothers me that they haven't made any more anime episodes for "no good reason." I'd rather it to be because Miura won't allow it, then the former--it makes the whole situation less unknown.

Considering how involved he was in the first series, it wouldn't surprise me if he actually didn't allow it. I hear they sent the episode scripts to him, and he would make changes and send them back. He oversaw the production quite closely from what I read.
Berserk became an anime series for the first time? What kind of advice did you give to the production studio?
"Berserk is my very first comic book and anime. So I was very excited, and I wanted to make something good. I could've just let the studio staff do the work, but I gave some advice on the outlines of the character designs. But my main concern was the scripts. They'd send me the scripts and I'd revise them and make changes. I checked all scripts, and made a lot of changes and requests on all of them. I bet the writers hated me." -Kentarou Miura
