Every package should be hit with taxes. If it's not, it means Canada Post has screwed up. It happens. Not as much as I would like for it to happen, but it happens.

Well I know every package SHOULD but I did have a package come in once without a COD charge but recently everyone of my packages has come in with one. They even opened 6/7 of my replacement packages with an empty DVD case inside even though it clearly said replacement DVD case, $0.00 value on the outside. I am not even joking lol.

I guess I'm just a bit surprised that they could find them all Razz Did you get one recently without a COD charge blood-?

Last time that happened was last winter. I think that's the one and only time it's happened this year and that's out of about 9 packages, I believe.

also please don't bring your laptop with anime, manga, ect to to Canada. There are many horror stories out there already. Sometimes, you won't get your laptop back or get lawsuit.

if you get hentai with loli girls, you are fucked.

No...actually, I'm pretty sure people who watch a lot of loli hentai girls are, in fact, rarely if ever fucked.

why do you they try to go to in and out of Canada with those files in their computer. Rather they watch it or not has nothing to do with my statement.
They are totally different. I have illegal drugs before, I feel very safe, but i would never try bring illegal drugs in and out of the US border. Of course, i could still get lucky if they don't search me.

Or Maybe Canada only going after U.S. Citizen and let Canadian go free?

please explain this to me, you Canadians. Why do country ruin this normal guy's life just because he has some hentia?

"A U.S. citizen, identified as a computer programmer and comic book fan, recently flew from his home in America to visit a friend in Canada, and upon his arrival, his iPhone, iPad and laptop were searched by Canadian customs who discovered digital manga images on the laptop. Presumably based on Canadian statutes that treat any sexual images of characters that appear to be under 18 as actual child pornography, the images they discovered were deemed child porn and the man was charged accordingly.

Hey is it just me or has every package been hit with taxes lately?

Not only has virtually every package of mine as been hit with taxes lately, but all but two of my packages have been opened by CBSA. Of the six or so packages that I've received lately, only two escaped the taxes AND the yellow tape, both being involved in TRSI's massive partial shipment frenzy these last couple of weeks. One was simply Akira Vol. 1 by itself (which easily went through unscathed due to its low price point) while one of my but partial shipment orders amazingly went through fine with no tape and tax.

It's making me scared of ordering Da Capo II or School Days from TRSI, especially the latter. Has anybody had these visual novels cross the border unscathed?

I can't make any promises...but if you look way, way up in the sky, and you're real quick about it, you might just be able to catch a glimpse of the joke as it flies over your head. Laughing

No...actually, I'm pretty sure that if Bubba and his buddies ever found out the reason you were sent to jail, you'd probably get f***ed a lot.

Hmm, let's see in January, 2006, the Conservative Party - our version of the Tea Party Lite - forms a minority government in Canada. A little under a year later, Canada Customs bans Cool Devices. Coinky-dink? One rather thinks not. This is so unbelievably bush league. I'm agog.

What's really pointless, counterproductive and wasteful about this new policy is that it will encourage piracy and a perhaps even a small black market. I can't imagine CC employees getting paid enough to dissuade them from accepting a few crisp banknotes under the table.

And if they were really after punishing "obscenity", why don't they just arrest everyone born during or after 1982, who no doubt has seen far worse stuff just through random internet searches (or even through their own artistic talent)?

I ordered the School Days HQ game from TRSI and it got through without a problem. I can't specifically remember if the package it came in got opened by CC, but since they virtually all do, I'd be willing to bet it did. The only items you have to worry about are the ones that are on the banned list.
