Because the show was animated on a low budet in SD, just like all the other seasons, and thus a Blu-ray would be pointless.

Zetsubou has never been released in Blueray for some reason not even the OVAs for season 2.5 got a blueray release.

Does it matter? The show looked fine in the broadcast run and nothing was cut like in other Shaft shows of the season. Meaning a normal DVD release would be fine instead of a blueray release.

Not to sound like a hater, but: really? I thought the action scenes were executed at a very high level most of the time. And the visuals were lush, in general.

I wonder if people bought CANAAN for the Type-Moon aspects or for the gushing over the Canaan x Maria pairing (or maybe both Very Happy).

In any case, I hope that series gets licensed soon; this type of series is definitely up to FUNimation's alley.
