Here's the list of conventions within driving distance from PA. Pennsylvania's a big state though, so depending on where you're starting from, it might be closer to go out of state for a convention. Hope this helps.

Philcon 2004 (www.philcon.org)
December 10th-12th, 2004
Marriott Center City Hotel
Philadelphia, PA

Kosaikon (www.kosaikon.com)
March 26, 2005
Villanova University

Tekkoshocon (www.tekkoshocon.com)
April 8-10, 2005
Pittsburgh Expomart
Pittsburgh, PA

AnimeNEXT (www.animenext.org)
June 17-19, 2005
Meadowlands Expo Center
Secaucus, NJ (NY/NJ Metro area)

For all you convention needs check out these website:

Otakon, Katsucon, AnimeUSA are far closer than Tekkshocon. About the same distance (2hrs) as AnimeNext from Philly

I will also warn you, Philcon is primarily a literary Sci-Fi con that has somewhat begrudgingly integrated film/TV and anime over the years, and Kosaikon, while nothing against it is a very small event. Whether or not it's worth the drive is up to you

Pre-registering is still possible via paypal or other means via our main page and you save cash (don't spend that in the dealers room  ) until 3/30/05.
