Isn't the Brave Saga in the 5th circle of licensing hell thanks to Takara and Sunrise (and subsequently Hasbro and Bandai) arguing over the rights?

Sadly, yes, which is why I'm glad we have fansubbers.

Kind of a funny title, though, considering that the previous Gaogaigar series was also entitled "Gaogaigar Final." Maybe they should change the new one's title to "Gaogaigar Final Only This Time We Mean it Unless This One Makes a Lot of Money." Very Happy

Is this really a new series or simply the GaoGaiGar Final OAV making a TV broadcast?

Meh... as far as I know this is more like a special, and/or a re-air of either GGG or GGGF. It's definately not a new 'series'... Final ended pretty decisively anyway.

I'm fairly sure it's more on the order of 15th anniversary... goings on.

It's not a new series. From Gunota:

I guess that could mean anything from "watered down or shortened for TV edition" to "extra footage or redone footage". We'll have to see. Either way, this still isn't a new series.

I still haven't seen GGGF myself, though, I'm still waiting for the fansubs of the TV show to finish. We're so close to the end now, too.

Can someone explain this to me about the whole deal about what has been going on with this? Confused
