I know FUNi said that they're interested in Gonzo's new shows, but I hope they at least decide to hold out on Speed Grapher until it's actually finished. It's not like I'd hold it against them for getting it sooner, it's just that I like free anime.

I was hoping AnimeWorks would grab it, they handled titles like Berserk really well and i like all their crazy boxs! (rubs) Eye of Volger boxed set.

Jesus BeyonderZ, DragonBall is OVER with, get over it. Funi has improved 200% since those days.

It's amazing that Funimation can change, yet you can't Razz

You seem to be operating on the assumption that anime is super popular. Cartoon Network gets more than double the ratings off of shows like Robot Chicken, Family Guy and Futurama. So they're not doing it to "boost ratings".

Except for the part where FUNimation were the first and only ones to actually give it a decent treatment over here after Saban effectively destroyed it. If you're going to blame somebody for "ruining" an anime, at least do the research and place the blame at the right people. Rolling Eyes

Yes, Saban said it wouldn't air Dragonball unless FUNimation made changes like changing Hell to Hifl, and Mr. Satan to Hercule. Thus for a time, FUNimation was like 4Kids, but has gotten over that.

Oh, and occasionally we have a FUNimation rep post in this forum, as well as a Geneon and maybe Bandai, but we never have anyone from ADV posting here.

Mr.Satan becoming Hercule was after Saban. However, he retains his original name in the uncut dub on the dvds.

But you have to admit, using HFIL was pretty clever of them and still one of the better/more amusing edits that have been made in the history of anime

Reallly? What is his screen name so that I can see how often he posts.

--EDIT--
I did happen to find his review for Noir DVD 1, Also, is his screen name Boxie? It seems he was last on ANN (staff wise) in 2003

His SN is Allen. I'm quite certain he reads the forums much more then he posts in them.

Well, I would say something about that, but I guess that has changed as well.

I was a journalist for a while before getting into an industry job. Now I'm with FUNimation. I don't post much, only when I need to and only when you guys get the facts wrong. I monitor a lot of boards so its often difficult to engage in chit-chat.
