I think the reasoning behind that was since it was delayed two years due to the Geneon Universal merger in Japan, they aren't sure how well it will sell so it's currently DVD only. don't quote me on that, cause i may be wrong

in all serious though I can't answer I pretty much get studio rep info from raged internet nerds, like myself, but who acctually pay attention to such things
