In an unusual confluence of events, I find this thread has returned from the dead just as I finished watching Dezaki's last major work, Genji Monogatari Sennenki. What a beautiful production it is, too, combining "classic" anime styles and modern techniques. It's a bit slow in places, but then so is the Lady Murasaki's novel on which it is based.

At least people know how to wake these threads up once in a while out of inspiration (like I just did). Laughing
