Somehow, a used copy of Saiyuki came in at work, so I somehow bought it. I have a problem.... also, the manhwa I did specifically order came in as well, Give to the Heart 5, 6, which I've b sen slowly ordering at work, but now I'm caught up, argh!

Picked up the first volume of an old Tokyopop manhwa called Queens in a secondhand bookstore today. I'd never heard of it before, but Tokyopop did release it all and the remaining 4 volumes are still cheap on Amazon. And my quest to get all the shojo manhwa released in English continues.

Went to Goodwill today and to my surprise found Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind on DVD. The second disc that contains the extras was missing, but the film disc was there and was in very good condition. One or two light scratches and some wear-and-tear to the cardboard slipcover. Paid $1.99 for it too!
I'll probably upgrade it to the Blu-Ray edition eventually, but at least it's on my shelf. ^^ |

Picked up the first 3 volumes of Sekirei. Sucks that it's only being released digitally but at least I have something to read on my Fire now. I did notice something odd though. Both Amazon and Yen Press's website don't list volumes 4 and 5 but yet they have dates for 6 and 7. Hopefully they're not skipping volumes.

DVDPlanet is having a sale on Asian Cinema and Anime till May 1st and there's a 10% coupon listed on front page that you can stack on top of it.
Picked up: Jin-Roh The Wolf Brigade BD - will still keep my special edition DVD set as I believe the BD comes with no extras. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - was tempted to skip this because while its an improvement on the old DVDs Japan totally screwed up the contrast in several scenes losing details in this new BD. But may never see a fixed release of this and I always loved it, so gotta get it. Blue Submarine No.6 DTS Complete Collection DVD - This was the promised DVD that would include the toonami dub and the Uncut version. I was never a gigantic fan, but nostalgia is strong with this one plus there was some unedited scenes that I would like to see. Robot Carnival DVD May also pre-order Den-Noh Coil and Yurikuma Arashi, just depends how much money I don't want to give to RightStuf and Amazon. |

I got my Dororo anime set today, hooray! From the few eps I got to see on AnimeSols (where I also pledged), it was pretty good stuff, they decided to forego color for better animation it would seem, so it actually comes off as looking better than Princess Knight (which was also a year earlier, btw). And of course, I am a massive Tezuka fan so, hooray!
