This one's probably going to be released first with out a dub then re-released with one later. If they never dub it then it's your own fault for refusing to buy the sub-only dvds.

Probably be a sub-only release.
Niche show, very cutesy and would be weird dubbing the cameo apperances with different VA's.
Nice license though. Always good to have a decent range of genres to choose from in terms of Sentai's offerings.

If Sentai does dub it they better bring in the FUNimation Tsubasa cast for the cameo of their characters.

I'm sort of surprised, to be honest, that so many people seem excited for this.... When my local Borders closed, the Kobato manga was like... the only manga left on the shelf. I went on the very last day they were open and all of the manga was a $1 or less and there was still like.. this whole row of Kobato volumes. I felt kind of bad for it o.o;

Out of 21 post (excluding mine), 9 of them ammount to "I want it dubbed", and half of those are "I won't buy unless dub".

Just curious-did this get a blu-ray release in Japan? If so, Sentai might do blu-ray here, which would probably mean it would get a dub.

If this gets a dub, I'm hoping once again Christopher Sabat will dub over Tetsu Inada again as he did in Tsubasa. I'm sure a few will disagree with me but Sabat was a shoe in for that role Laughing and I'm sure he can do the grumpy Ioryogi

Hell yes, instant buy from me.

Sentai is doing a better job at getting what I want than any other series is at the moment.

I personally am not gonna be picky and not buy it if it's not dubbed, dubbed, subbed, I don't care, I just want a DVD release.
From the release date being in August, it looks to be another quick sub release. For dub fans hopefully I'm wrong.

Additonal updates are expected tommorrow, stay tuned everyone!

Uh, no. I will buy sub-only releases, but I really hate Sentai's "maybe we will and maybe we won't" dub policy. I'd rather know right up front that a title will either be sub only or if it will have a dub. In essence, what Sentai is making me do is wait a few years before buying any of their sub-only offerings. If it still hasn't been subbed after a few years, I can pretty much assume it never will be. I refuse to participate in a "buy it subbed and if a dub comes out use the trade in" option crap. That's more expensive and more of a hassle. Hate it.

People should never have to buy a product that doesn't have all the features they want just in the hope that by doing so the company in question will get around to doing it. Maybe that's a business model that works for Sentai, but it doesn't endear me to them as a consumer.

I've been hoping this would be licensed ever since I saw the show when it first aired. Kobato is absolutely adorable and gives off this warm feeling. I can't wait to get this in August.

NIFTY!
I love the manga!
Very Happy

I don't really understand this whole argument.
People always complain about dubs, and now you guys are saying you won't buy it unless it's dubed?

Make up your mind!
LOL!

The funny thing about this license aquisition is that AD Vision hasn't picked up a CLAMP title in years.
