Sounds like the first volume of the Tsukihime anime, except that it applies to the entire 12 episodes.
Seriously, though, Tsukihime is decent, and would've been even better had someone taken a cattle prod to the storyline to move it along. |

| Tsukihime's anime and manga would've been even better had they doubled the length of both, paced them better, and not cut out more than half of the original game's content. Gotta love how Satsuki's storyline is begun and then almost immediately dropped, and how anyone who isn't Shiki, Arcueid, or Akiha is virtually inconsequential. |
