"Uggh, don't turkey leg and talk at the same time..."

Turkey leg is a verb now, awesome! XD

To be honest, I have yet to see an elf actually suck at archery.

Is that really racism? The stereotype was applied to elves as a whole, not a particular "race" of elves.

Elf is a "race" in D&D terms, so, sure?

Though I was previously aware that such events as this existed, it comes as news to me that they are referred to as "ren faires".

Reminds me of Carlos Mencia and his "Stereotype Olympics". Laughing

I'm sort of at a loss as to what the point of this comic was: was it to demonstrate that stereotypes are true?

The last one of these that I saw offered something approaching commentary on the evolution of anime fandom.

Legolas would be proud. At least, she tries not to use that infamous "adventurer" joke.

Not every comic has to be a 'message'. Humor can be included sometimes.

Have you ever seen an elf shoot themselves in the foot with an arrow.

I gather that this comic was supposed to be funny. However, I didn't find it to be. I'm thinking that if I could "break down" the comic then I could "reverse engineer" the joke from it. Naturally that wouldn't make this comic funny, as jokes are seldom funny when they have to be explained, but it could help me for the next comic.

This is ANN, I've been conditioned to expect that there's some "message" in everything on here Rolling Eyes

Too much humor these days is of a type that I don't understand.
If she'd shot herself in the foot with the arrow then that might have made for some readily apparent humor...maybe?

I used to be an adventurer like her, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
