I'm curious what peoples opinions are of the major manga anthologies that are being released currently in North America.
Shonen Jump http://www.shonenjump.com Anime Extra http://www.animerica-extra.com Raijin Comics http://www.raijincomics.com Super Manga Blast http://www.darkhorse.com/products/zones/z_manga/index.html Is there room for anthologies such as the defunct Pulp and Smile to return in the future? |

I like them, it gives me an opportunity to read manga that I probably wouldn't think twice about looking at otherwise.

Don't like them. I'd rather buy the trade paper backs as they take up less space, and I'm not paying extra for stories I don't necessarily like.

I like them. Since you mentioned Smile, I remember reading something about either a conversion of one of the existing anthologies or the creation of a new one which would feature only shoujo titles, something like Smile. I don't remember where I read it though...

I can't believe there's not a second shoujo anthology magazine out in North America.
