Ugh, I'm going to be reminded every week how so-and-so episode of Pupa would be better if it wasn't just 3 minutes long (plus a minute for the OP & ED), aren't I? :/ That said, I felt things worked a bit better with episode 2 than episode 1... somehow. I don't know, it feels so light. As ikillchicken said...

Surely the show wasn't planned at the start as being comprised of being these bite-sized episodes, right? I imagine that if Pupa was, it wouldn't have been delayed a full season... who or what is to blame for this? The lack of a station willing to dedicate a half-hour block to the show? Earth Star Entertainment for not dedicating enough production funds? I bet there's a sad, if not interesting, story to all this.

Episode 2

There is like no time to build up any real traction. They only have so much time to give information and have something happen that I am not really feeling anything. It looks like this might be one of those things where you skip now to marathon it later, at least then you might get a half hour or something out of it, enough time to feel like something is happening.

It was. This has basically just the exact same footage from one of the early trailers.

Anyway, its utterly clear to me that this has no intention of being anything but 2 minutes a week of at best, gross out weirdness and at worst, someone's terrifying and bizarrely specific fetish porn. So I'm done. Probably should have been weeks ago.
