spoiler[A summer fun episode ^^ Those are always nice to watch in cold winter days. This time they dealt with friendships. Inari was totally enjoying her trip. Sumizome-Marutamachi relationship was quite problematic. It was actually kinda sad watching Sumizome feeling so down. Looks like even the cutest girls can't be unhappy. This story is gonna be a 2 episode thing at least. Not that exciting, except the very end.] |

So I wonder what is happening to Inari at spoiler[the end there? She's losing control of her power or what?] This is getting interesting since we're at around the middle of the series now and the plot will really pick up.

Episode 5
Inari: "spoiler[Isn't there any way I can help her]?" Me: "Don't tell me you the spoiler[two of them are going to swap places]." *one spoiler[wish and out of control power] moment later* "God damn it, it is happening. This can only end in tears, and probably self exploration." I rather enjoyed this episode, I would say that I wanted to see what Maru was like as she is rather different from a majority of anime girls. From the previous episode I was wondering if it was jealousy or hating her, and that seems to be what Sumizome was thinking, but being that she has feelings of insecurity and or inferiority seems plausible motivation. The yuri undertones seemed to be a bit smaller than they may have been, but still there, Inari almost looks like a yuri fangirl from seeing hearts. |

Didn't look too good at the end there. Wonder what will happen in the next episode. spoiler[I'm assuming that since some of Uka's powers transfered to Inari and that she's not really all that familiar with them yet, that she grants Akemi's wish and that they swap places.]

spoiler[Inari got herself into yet another mess. Nice save Inari! I was surprised to see how much she has grown. It was nice that Maru & Sumizome finally found common ground ^^ I really didn't like seeing those two act all awkward. Looks like Inari's brother is starting to accept Uka ^^ Is there a romance brewing? LOL Really nice episode.] |

A bittersweet this chapter around. I lol'd @ spoiler[Uka coming out of that shower and her brief video game session with Inari's bro. I think those two have a fun connection in the latest episode.] |

I just realized how rare it is to see a beach episode with both parents being there as guardians. It is always a bunch of kids with either that one hot mom or no parental figures.

I loved the dumbfounded but not entirely unhappy expression on Touka's face when spoiler[she held his hand.] I'm enjoying this much more than I'd expected to. Why are all the characters named for Kyoto rail stations? |

So instead of praying to the gods of Washinomiya Shrine like devotees of Lucky Star did for the game-loving Konata to be their wife, the show collapses the god with the desirable gamer. Nice characterization trick.
With all of the petty middle school-aged bickering and making-up, the "I dream of Kami" set up with Touka, and the uninteresting Kouji as love interest, I normally wouldn't give this show a second thought. But it's so damn cute and mood-bolstering, I can't quit this. Damn you, Production IMS, damn you. EDIT: 420 posts; I don't toke, so it's up to you, Angry Monkey.

Episode 7:
I think there were three important parts this episode (one of them should be obvious though) spoiler[1) Inari's brother seems to have possible feelings for Uka considering the time he spent with him and his thoughts of her later on when he was at his house. He also learns about the powers too... 2) Koji realizes his own feelings for Inari. This should of been obvious. 3) Inari can't depend on her powers all the time because it's not her real self. She also mentions how 'easy it is to confess to Koji' when she looks like someone else.] Looking forward to what happens next time~ |

spoiler[Cultural festival time! Guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I was right, Touka does have some feelings for Uka. Watching those two fight was really fun ^^ Inari was being a crybaby this time. She was letting herself be bothered by trivial stuff. Sumizome was a nice surprise. She certainly told Tanbabashi off. Didn't expect to see that from her. I'm glad Tanbabashi finally realized his own feelings. Really good episode!] |
