Figured I'd point this out because a lot of people didn't realise this about Engaged to the Unidentified until after it was over, but like that show and Kotoura-san, One Week Friends is based on a 4koma manga. Seems more and more of these 4koma with substance are being made.

Didn't you know that meiam is the spawn of Satan? Why else would someone else have a problem with that.

*snort*
True, Satan and all his spawn hate "love" but HEY, even Laharl-sama came around at the end of his series.
Joking aside, I guess I can see where meiam is coming from...depending on the cause of Kaori's condition. If it's some type of supernatural cause, love curing her wouldn't be that strange. But if it's more psychological, yeah, I'd expect a more realistic method to cure her too.

My guess is some kind of childhood trauma like her best friend dies "because of her" and her heart doesn't want to feel that pain again so her brain has set in some kind of mechanism ensuring that she doesn't.

God, I hope that isn't it. Given that anterograde amnesia is a real thing that only seems to be caused by physical things (drugs or injury), them trying to explain it in a way like that would be beyond stupid. It's already pushing things with how contrived the timing of it is, something which has already used up this series' allotment of my suspension of disbelief.
Really, the best thing they could do is have it be from an injury and either she eventually heals from it with support from Hise or they find ways to live with it (perhaps tattoos all over her body with important facts? ).

Like Komari-chan's onii-chan thing in Little Busters? Yeah, I could see that. But I'd be glad if it was not that, for a change of pace.

Pretty much this, it's a real condition, saying "love cure it" is like saying to all people who actually have that "you guys are un-lovable crap". It also goes against the main plot of the show, the entire show is gonna be based around them learning to love each other despite her condition, just for the ending to be "yeah none of that matter cause now she's cured".
And I just don't like miracle ending, why then and not before?

Well, she forgets anything related to friends, specifically. Perhaps it wouldn't apply to a boyfriend?

Yeah, I am in.
Just. Too. Adorable.
Its looking like its going to be a crowded weekend for me this season.
It is better than coming off as being jaded by everything though.

Episode 02
THESE TWO ARE SO EFFING PRECIOUS, I'M GONNA DIE.
I'm seriously going to die from cute-overload. Like when they saw the crepe store was closed I was sad. I was actually sad about that!! Wtf I don't get sad over things like that!!
The diary was a smart idea. I love how she recorded EVERYTHING! The classroom thing....with that hellish math problem! "Today, Hase-kun forgot the formula he learned in math and couldn't solve the problem on the board. What a dumbass." (I know she'd never say that, yes)
Next episode looks like it's going to be a little angsty. :< But I wonder if this isn't going to be my favorite of the season. I could not stop squeeing and giggling and going "AWW". I can't wait to show this show to my friends and we all end up doing the same thing together.

Episode 2:
Another adorable episode and I kinda figured she would start recording those memories with a notebook by now. Anyways, the second half almost seemed like a date at the karaoke. The crepe looked tasty and I just loved the way our main characters interact despite the memories being wiped away weekly.
