Good news: *crack* That shell has finally broken! Nice job, Nonoka!
Bad news: spoiler[Will Noel be leaving soon?] Based on the 9th episode preview, at least not yet. But I can definitely see that coming...sooner or later. |

Shione won't allow that to happen, which is why she turned cold at the end.

Episode 8
Wait, so shione suddenly decided to spoiler[sabotage the friendship at the end because she realised that Noel really is not normal, and that she will probably leave once they are all friends again]? They will have to also learn to spoiler[be able to say goodbye since Noel can't stay forever, like what the brother is planning.]. |

When Noel said, "Things go bad when I'm away from the saucer", I was like, "How bad?"
(watched ep. 9) OK, that's bad. But at least it doesn't crash into the town. And now, the question is: Friendship.... or Noel? Friendship... or Noel? Friendship... or Noel? ....can't it be both? |

Meh, I actually think spoiler[Shione can be likeable when she was little. Will she finally accept Nonoka again? The ending doesn't suggest so but I'll keep up my hopes.]
Also, poor Noel. |

Uh-oh. A certain person has made up her mind. Just accept it, kids.

Boy what a collection of such benighted kids with all the collective communication capability of two tin cans and a string. Shione makes Tomoko look functional.
At least cell phones have an auto-return function it seems. |

And so it seems that there is no choice for spoiler[Noel except to leave before they all join as a group]. It is actually a little spoiler[selfish of them to think that they can keep her there indefinitely]. That actually sounds harsh, but it is not that bad.

I'm curious as to how they are going to squeeze three more episodes out of this. Or more specifically, I'm curious as to how they are going to squeeze three more episodes out of this without making me lose my mind.

Maybe they can make a new wish, retaining Noel after everyone-smiles-forever-era? |

I really wonder if spoiler[Noel will return for the finale?] Anything's possible imo in this anime. At least spoiler[Shione] is back now. About time.

The primary problem with this show explained so perfectly. I'm enjoying it, to a certain extent. But there are many other shows in this genre that do what it's trying to do, but so much better. To be completely honest, it's boring. It tries my patience with repetitive dialogue. I also like in episode 10 when the dad asks his like 11-year-old daughter spoiler["Are you sure taking her home is ok?"] as if he's thinking that she's smarter than him. Surely, this young girl knows more about what to do in this situation than I do. |

Nonoka is 15. And you see how she takes charge around the house, so she could very well know better than him. Even if that wasn't the case, she'd know more about Noel's condition than him, since he's never met her. |
