When I think of how Ryou is still in middle school and yet barely sees her parents and has to look after herself (because her aunty is so irresponsible), I do think that's a bit sad.

Episode 8:

That was delicious episode. spoiler[The bento had all sort of goodies there like hamburger, potatoes, etc. That shows talent in the culinary arts just by looking at it.]

What a fun series this has been so far. Good thing I just ate though or otherwise, I would of wanted to grab some of those pixels on-screen.

Episode 10

The irony of watching this and that I often eat alone. Wait I actually did go to a party the other day and spoiler[ate pizza] along with other people. Yeah, you can get a good mood.

There were pretty strong flags that Yuuki, the spoiler[woman living in the apartment below], will spoiler[be their teacher when the girls get into high school].

The way this show rapidly cycles through the seasons is a bit jarring to me. A few episodes back, the girls were struggling with the heat of summer and it made me jealous as Toronto was still in the grip of its coldest winter in ages. Now we are in winter just as what passes for spring here is starting.

Anyway, I've been mildly enjoying this show. I watch it on Sunday mornings (after Cross Ange; an interesting combo) and it's generally a relaxing experience with the exception of the near constant reminder that Ryou misses her grandmother and parents. I'm ready for it to end, though. That's not to say I wouldn't watch a future season, but for right now I'm "full."

I love this show. At first I was like oh another anime with cutesy girls doing boring things for ex) Lucky star. I love slice of life like K-on. I also got into this show because it's a cooking anime. Sad to see it end soon but it's a feel good show that I will rewatch in the future.

Episode 12 (Finale)

Well it ended with a big get together. Not bad, although the show kept on trying to tease with their neighbour being a teacher of the school they are going to.

Cutenss is all fine and good, but the show kept having an odd reaction to my stomache in sometimes making me feel sick with the food, I think corresponding when the last time I ate something was. It was not always a problem, but I had not figured how was best to watch this, whether a sausage in hand or a sandwich 5 minutes earlier. But definetly not on an empty stomach, that can come close to torture. I rate the show as So-so, it really did not grab my attention that much, but I appreciate some of the artwork and time taken in expressing the joys of food and how it is eaten.

It's an alright series I suppose. This was like a hit or miss for me. Some episodes really kept my eyes glued to the screen while others made me watch the timer to see when the episode will end.

One thing I have to admit though is how delicious some of the food tastes. Luckily, I almost always watch this show after eating Wink

I thought I'd be rating this show as Decent, but when push came to shove, I went with Good. Watching this show was always a bittersweet experience for me: the cuteness of the girls balanced against the fact we were often reminded that one of them was a very lonely person who missed her dead grandmother and her absent parents. Great food porn, though.

As I said a few posts above, I am "full" but I would not be opposed to a second helping somewhere down the road. And I never did figure out where the "Graffiti" part of the title comes from...

I tend to agree with Blood-.
Each week I found no excuse to delay my viewing of the new episode.
Unlike Kamisama Kiss, or Testament of Sister censorship.
Did not blow my socks off, but I was there each week.

Love the opener song/visuals.
Waffling on the buy or not decision, but will probably fall to buy, which along with Log Horizon, Shirobako are probably the only buys from this season.

I liked it, but the charm wore of fast for me and I found it slightly more difficult each week to bring myself to care about watching the next episode, so I'm thankful it was only 12 episodes
