As an Australian, my sadness resonates with my fellow countrymen on this site, and anyone in the southern hemisphere as well. Seasonal contests like this can never be entered for us in the sweltering heat of summer...

I think this contest is wonderful. Having looking forward to pumpkin carving contests (people always send great submissions; I'm just absolutely horrible at it!), I will instead look towards all my excess Christmas wrapping and decor and other festive things! I really appreciate the creative stretching room, too. I love your winter spirit, ANN!!

Yep!

And actually, we might extend the contest to the end of January because it's not looking like anyone is getting snow anytime soon.

But again, the rules are very open. You can dress up your plush, you can bake cookies, you can slap Santa hats on your plush, you make it look like Sailor Moon is holding a candy cane instead of a rod - basically, there is no limit, there is no snow requirement, and we really just want people to have fun with it!


Well, Oklahoma DID get snow last night/this morning (to my surprise when I looked out the window this morning).

But my dad is sick with the flu and strep, and I'm too protective of my plushies to put them in the snow, not do I want to get sick myself...

Guess I better get some ideas in motion (and ask my mom for help).

I wasn't able to access the voting page. I also noticed that some of the comments were deleted??

What happened? Confused

Site was down for maintenance. Unfortunately the most recent usable back-ups were a week old. See the site news story on the front page.

Seems there's some kind of database crash.

Seems all posts between about Fri Feb 06, 2015 6:20 am and Sun Feb 15, 2015 8:17 pm are lost.

I got the same thing as the 2 previous posters. I logged in, then clicked on the link. I was taken to:

and the page said:
