Hmm, this is interesting news. Sadly I've only read like 1/3 of the manga for Maria but the series has some refreshing ideas that I liked from his work. Looking forward to this.

I only recently learned that there was a maria manga (until that point I thought the anime had been an anime original) and now it's ending hmmm :/ well on the plus side it'll have a nice complete story by the time I get my hands on it

Neat! I enjoy all his works, not greatly but he always makes very distinctive series so cool, I'm looking forward his next ideas.

Looking forward to seeing what he has next. I read the Maria manga, and it's waaaaaaay better than the anime. It's a serious shame that they didn't adapt the manga instead of just taking a few elements from the original and making their own story. There was plenty of material for a 12, 13-episode anime from the source, including the side-story volume Exhibition that told some other stories within the manga's world (How Maria met Joseph, a story about Viv, etc.)
