although it's kind of a mystery to me how avoiding gluten became such a trend, as I was under the impression that actual gluten allergies were rare.

A little off topic, but I am currently working through The Grain Brain which I would recommend if you are interested. It has a lot to say about gluten causing inflammatory response and its effects in people who aren't diagnosed with gluten sensitivity.

Isn't Magi also streaming on Netflix?

Yes, both the original and second series:

http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/80028089

It appears both are now available with both dub and sub (subtitles for both English and Spanish).

:SIGH:

I WISH World God Only Knows was more 'pandering' in the past. Remember the great conquests to come in the previews for Season 2 at the end of Season 1? They were footnotes when Season 2 came and they rushed through it all.. All the most fun girls weren't utilized. Well, they weren't in the manga as well, which is its own share of issue.

The show/manga could have been way better. I hope the mangaka's next work has steadier footing.

I hope people also really enjoy the Yakitate!! DVD-ROM liner notes. There's a great deal of detail in these, and they weren't mentioned in the review.

I'm glad that the Yakitate DVDs got some recognition, it's my brother's favorite anime. He actually loves it so much, that he's going towards a career in baking because of it!
