BadNewsBlues, your list of points can de deemed, by some like me, as part of the controversial ending that I mentioned.

The Naruto and Sasuke fight I felt should've had Sasuke dying or admitting defeat.

People like you blatantly missed the entire point of the series, so you were never going to be satisfied.

Sasuke was always going to be saved. Because the theme of the entire series was FORGIVENESS. Hell, the primary theme of Shonen Jump itself is FRIENDSHIP. It's why even people as horrible as Pain and Itachi were redeemed before they died.

If you think an ending that had been setup since chapter one was controversial, there's no helping you. You were never reading the story that Kishimoto was writing in the first place.

Not to mention the fact that Sasuke did "admit defeat," for whatever the hell that's worth. He blatantly said "This is my loss".

I find it kind of weird that for Naruto, and specifically for Naruto, people are expecting pretty specific endings based on their character preferences. I see shipping wars flare up and fans complaining when their preferred pairing is debunked for a lot of different series, or people who absolutely hate or love certain characters and are disappointed to see them die/live, but it never gets as vocal as this, even when a series ends.

Popular and long manga only end when the artist dies. I expect to see AMG make a comeback within a few years as well. These comics are their livelihood unless they got some sweet royalties in their contracts (doubt it).

And if it's anything like American comics (both comic books and comic strips), if it's REALLY popular, someone else will continue after the author dies.
