This synopsis, coupled with the one about those from the country Nil Kamui makes me think that Donatia itself (or the Donatians) sees this failure as a grave regret, while Nil Kamui (Nil Kamuians? Nillians?) sees this failure as betrayal. Not a new narrative mechanism, but it can be an effective one, if used properly.

This series is one of my most anticipated ones for the summer season. I'm loving the constant flow of new information and hope that it turns out to be a real fun series.

Also, character designs are great, and the cast list is pretty awesome as well. Always love seeing a new fantasy anime series, and this seems like one that may be able to keep up better than many of the light novel adaptations that have come out.
