While that may be true, they've picked obscure characters before. Ness, Ice Climbers, R.O.B., Fire Emblem, until Smash Bros, Earthbound was a cult favorite, Fire Emblem hadn't come to American yet, they got a popularity bump from Smash Bros. Except maybe Ice Climbers, no one still cares about their original game. But Pit got a new game in large part to his popularity in Smash. But with Earthbound, they clearly used a SNES RPG, so that should've been fine to use again too. Probably should've gone with Kefka? |

It's weird seeing Cloud as an addition to the roster considering FFVII, or rather most of the FF franchise, was never prevalent on anything Nintendo, at least to my knowledge. Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.
I just want Bayonetta, honestly. I know it's almost impossible and incredibly unreal but I don't care. I want Bayo now, now, now. |

Indeed, he'll have his own stage as well. It seems to have a Battlefield layout that will split in half under certain conditions, as well as a lot of classic Final Fantasy monsters, summons, and bosses raining terrir down onto the stage. Too bad it'll almost never show up online though, because so many people don't care to get more stages. This very same thing happened with the Super Mario Maker stage and Ryu's stage. |
