Episode 7
If a teenage boy says to surprise his female peer with a frog because she likes them, he is most likely tricking you into scaring her. Actually the teenage thing is not necessary, I would likely pull the same thing as long as I knew it would not cause an actual panic attack.
Grumpy Chito after being told that she is gaining weight or that she is old was hilarious. And the image of Chito being the one to press the button to stop the bus, before revealing that Chinatsu was moving her paw to do it.

I have a cat like that. But whomever is providing the voice for Chito needs to be sent to a reeducation camp.

Nao works at her family store, and Kei does farm work. They're students anyways so it's not like they have to have a job.

Really enjoyed this episode again, having caught up on the previous six over the last week - it's such a nice, gentle show Really liked the bit with Chito at the beginning and Makoto getting hyper in the woods.

As a late starter of this show, I just finished marathoning the past seven episodes and I can't understand why I didn't start watching sooner! I really love all the characters and their interactions with each other. Like others have said, it truly is a really relaxing and fun show.
This season has produced what I now consider two of my favorite younger siblings, Chinatsu, and Koharu from Kuromukuro.

Episode 8:
Lovely episode this week. The atmospheric setting really is something to breathe in and enjoy out from the show. That Veil thing actually startled me a little.
Shiina is an interesting character. I think she's be an interesting friend to have. The Akane scenes at the lake after the ED theme song was also quite something. That photo is going to be part of her memories for sure.

Did Chinatsu unironically just ask "WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY!?!"

Is Japan even aware of that being a meme? It was so short lived.

I'm sure they are. I've seen the Gaijin 4koma referenced in several shows, and that one time the Nostalgia Critic and Angry Video Game Nerd were background extras.

Now that was a magical 20 minutes I just watched. Lovely. Chinatsu just dives right into any situation. Smacked my head with that pop culture reference though...

Actually, I think it is. It was actually referenced in the anime Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai, where characters mention animals along with the sound they make before someone just mentions a fox, causing the entire room to stare at them before two start dancing. A single gag in a show that was not all too good, but I remember the gag fondly.
It is witchcraft how short these episodes can feel.

I certainly didn't want to be reminded of that meme...

Episode 9:
Inukai is a cool girl, I like her in this show so hope to see more of that.
When I saw flashback clips with the mandrake, couldn't help but smile a bit just because of how funny it was seeing them the first time around. Chito also scared the out of that little hamster guy this episode.

Chito-san was the real MVP this episode.

I would argue that Akane was the real MVP. "Eyyy. Ey, ey, ey! Ey, eyyyyy. Eyyyy...."
Pretty sure everyone can relate to that
