I guess that means the flow of newcomers coming into Splatoon might actually trickle down pretty soon? That's a shame--they're the ones keeping the online play interesting.

(Note that I don't like to pick on newcomers in any game unless I am a newcomer myself. Rather, I personally feel that a lack of newcomers to a game turns it stale.)

Well...There's still a good bit of time left to enjoy a few more worldwide online races of Mario Kart 8 before Nintendo decides to officially pull the plug on the Wii U's online support...
