Bug tte Honey (TV) "Bugs Honey" pun?

It seems like one way to translate Bugってハニー is as "Bugs Honey", which seems like a pun on "Bugs Bunny". However, the official English title does not mention this pun (possibly due to concern over rights issues?) Is this pun intentional, or just an accident of Google Translate?

I have no idea what the title means, other than the main character being named Honey. You have an interesting theory, but it seems like they would have just called it Bug Honey instead of Bug tte Honey if they were going for a pun.
