I know there was one, but can't seem to find out any information about it. Like licenseing info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I managed to dig up...

There are two manga versions, one shoujo and one shounen:

The shoujo version of the six episode OAV, by Oota Tami.
It was serialized in Asuka and later released in four DX volumes at ¥520 each. Volume 1 was released in may/96, vol. 2 in feb/97, vol. 3 in july/97 and vol. 4 in feb/98.

The shounen version of the six episode OAV, by Sham Neko.
Serialized in Dragon Junior and later released as 3 volumes at ¥580 each (found no release dates, sorry).

The differences are:
The shounen version is more accurate when comparing it to the OAV but has more fanservice.
The shoujo version has (naturally) more romance (and less fanservice) and has a different character style and the story begins a bit before the OAV. The club also has another member which doesn't show up in the OAV.

Kinda like the Escaflowne manga in that it has a shonen and shoujo version heh heh. How much u guys wanna bet Tokyopop will dig up the shonen version of Magic Users Club eh?
