Romantic scenes are a bit harder so you might want to check out a couple of the more romantic mangas to see how they handle the intimate scenes. As for the How to Draw Manga books - your mileage may very for them. Some people find them worth while for learning, others find them worth while for reference, and others get nothing out of them. Personally, I would recommend checking out the following: Of that group the one that you would most likely get the most out of is the Costume Encyclopedia - very helpful when you get stuck on what someone should be wearing. |

It is necessary to have a fundamental drawing skill to be able to draw anything. One trick I learned in art school was to trace figures from books, comics, etc. in block form so you get a feel for layout, perspective and basic anatomy. Adult publications can be used in the same manner. If you're already drawing anime, then hentai shouldn't be too difficult once you become familiar (and comfortable) with drawing sexy images as opposed to just cartoons. I do suggest that anyone interested in drawing Hentai/anime should buy any and every "How To..." book they think will help. I have a few and they do offer a lot of tips concerning things you might not think about at first. The best thing you can do is practice and keep practicing....
