I'd like to read those someday. Maybe one of those classic zombie or war films. After hearing about Disney's Lilo and Stitch getting an anime I guess anything goes from here. |

| If it gets exploitation of the anime world to North America, so be it. Now if only they would do that for something that appeals to older audiences, although Kung Fu Panda appeals to people of all ages. But you know what I mean by older audiences. | |||

| Kung Fu Panda director Mark Osborne, as well as Lilo & Stitch co-directors Dean Deblois and Chris Sanders, have acknowledged that Japanese animation, or anime, influenced the 2008 Kung Fu Panda and the 2002 Lilo & Stitch American animated features, respectively.
According to The New York Times, Deblois and Sanders cite the influence of writer-director Hayao Miyazaki and his 1988 Japanese animated feature My Neighbor Totoro (Tonari no Totoro) on Lilo & Stitch. |

| I don't know. The movie, while excellent, has a very Western style of humor. I wonder how that will translate. | |||

| Only 5th place? Guess pandas just aren't as popular in Japan as they are in China. | |||

Boy, you're on top of everything, aren't you? I'm not surprised at this little outcome, but I'm not going to get hyped over it. Probably check it out some time in the future. |
