Ohohoho, spoiler[Leorio you silly. I do like the reason that he gave for running Chairman though. Anyways, this is going to be like a game for Pariston now. I think Ging described him well in the episode.] Next time: spoiler[I think we'll see Gon being finally healed. About time.] |

spoiler[That Ging sure has a terrible personality. But sometimes he is right though. Pariston is a sly and devious guy. Have a feeling things won't be good for hunters if he wins. So Leorio actually made it to the last 4 candidates! Seems like the final election is gonna be a marathon.. Leorio was all about Gon. Still, his unusual speech got through to the voters. Killua & Alluka finally made it to the hospital. This episode was all about the elections. Next time, hopefully, we'll see more Killua & action.] |

spoiler[OMG! Leorio is in the lead! I half saw that coming, but still.. Killua & Alluka finally in Gon's hospital room. Gon sure was in a horrible state. Totally unrecognizable. Even Killua was horrified and shocked by his condition. Killua made the wish. Alluka fulfilled it. Scary powerful. The elections got pretty intense too. It came down to Leorio vs Pariston. In the middle of it all Gon appeared! Healing worked, Alluka did it. I just wonder at what price.. Gon - Ging reunion! More next time I guess.. Great episode!!] |

The latest episode should be called Hunter x Feels. The spoiler[reunion between Ging and Gon was somewhat underwhelming though. But the family bond between Killua and Alluka was just something else.]

spoiler[Gon x Ging reunion. It was so not what I expected. Their talk didn't have anything to do with their relationship. I was glad the crowd pointed out some things about it. Gon's choice for the chairman was a surprise. Seems like Ging isn't all bad after all.. Pariston got officially elected. Damn, Killua & Something situation even made me sad. Who knew Something loved him too.. It was such a touching moment. Great episode! Especially the Killua part.] |

Yea I agree the spoiler[Gon x Ging reunion was pretty underwhelming, although I did like how they showed Gon crying a lot while he tried to talk about Kite.] That was kind of nice. However, the whole experience still left me feeling like Ging is the biggest a-hole that's ever existed in an anime. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be though, that we're never supposed to like Ging.

Episode 147:
That was a beautiful episode, from the spoiler[reunion between Gon and Kite to the very end of the song that I thought was great with what Madhouse did there.] It captured the emotions right and seized the moments with great timing. Next week's the finale but I already miss this show. |

Koala ant side story.
It was pretty interesting though. Still, it was pretty much all about existentialism. Kite is a girl now? Well, that was a surprise. Gon-Kite heart-to-heart was nice. Poor Gon just can't seem to catch his dad twice in the same place.. It was really sweet to see Killua, Alluka & Gon traveling together. Gon met Something for the first time. Still, it's sad they had to go their separate ways... That was clearly something they didn't want to do. |

Episode 148/Finale:
Great series overall. The finale episode had spoiler[a small montage in the beginning while showing Gon climbing the world tree. He meets his father at the top there which I find to be refreshing.] There was the classic spoiler[Departure song] played as the ED song too. Anyways, I'm definitely going to miss this show as it won't be back for quite awhile or if ever. Rating it as excellent. |
